Our next class to certify new high school referees will be Saturday Feb 14, from 8 am - 2 pm at Byram Hills High School. You must attend the entire course. The course fee is $125.  Click for course registration and payment .

The course fee equals the annual membership dues and  will  include course materials, dues for the fall season, insurance, one in-season mentoring / assessment, and the end of season dinner.

Payments are fully refundable up to the start date of the course if you withdraw for any reason. No refunds after the course starts. 

Basic requirements to join the WPASOA

• Be in good physical condition
• Successfully complete the Soccer School
• Achieve a minimum score of 80% on  the NFHS rules exam
• Complete the NFHS Concussion Awareness Course
• Observe two summer league scrimmages and meet with a mentor
• Work a pre-season scrimmage with a certified official
• Obtain proper uniforms*
• Attend a WPASOA rules interpretation meeting
• Be available weekdays - most games start at 4:30pm
• Get fingerprinted* - see Fingerprinting Information

*Additional, one-time out of pocket costs, including +/- $125 for uniforms and +/- $100 for fingerprinting. Paychecks for the entire season of games worked are usually sent in November.
